Alina Lebedeva is a self-taught photographer based in Moscow, Russia. She focuses on commercial projects, fashion, portrait, and nude photography.
Internationally recognized for her images, Alina Lebedeva is one of the most sought-after nude photographers in Moscow. Her fine art nudes capture emotions and naked beauty. Furthermore, she combines props and personal effects in both indoor and outdoor settings to enhance her photographs’ emotive qualities.
Lebedeva is passionate about creating nude photography and views it as a form of expression and revelation of true beauty. The nude form, according to her, provides an ideal canvas to display any sort of idea. Unlike other mediums, the human body provides her with unlimited artistic potential to create captivating images and implement her creative visions. She considers her inner calling to be capturing the different naked bodies of various models, both female and male, as all bodies possess a scintillating beauty. However, she avoids depicting sadness and other poisonous themes in her art.
Alina Lebedeva looks at her surroundings, at people’s lives, their emotions, and even their appearances for inspiration. Her body of work finds inspiration from everywhere and everything. Furthermore, love and beauty influence her creativity and often included in her work. Additionally, she looks at the other artists for stimulus such as British painter Lucian Freud. Furthermore, some of the most notable works that inspire her include The Nude Maja by Spanish painter Francisco Goya, Sleeping Nude by Spanish painter Francisco Goya, and Reclining Nude by Italian Jewish painter Amedeo Modigliani’s.
Alina Lebedeva studied philosophy but decided to give photography a try instead. In 2004, at the age of twenty-four, she bought her own camera and chased her new art-awakening. She started doing her own photography and creative projects. During the early years of her career, she developed her technique and style based on her mood and life experience. Even though she did not possess a lot of resources, she used her style to create her unique images that allowed her natural creativity to shine through.
At twenty-six years old, in 2006, Alina Lebedeva decided to pursue photography professionally. She worked shooting fine art nudes for a variety of businesses and individual clients. Gaining recognition for her work, she continued working as a commercial photographer in the fashion industry. Her images published in well-known print and digital publications such as Cosmopolitan, Glamour, Harper’s Bazaar, Playing Fashion, Citizen K, and SNS Magazine. Furthermore, some of her other clients included specialty dance shop Grishko and clothing brand Cyrille Gassiline. Additionally, her photographs auctioned in various platforms and sold millions of copies worldwide.
Aside from her shooting nude images, Alina Lebedeva has five years’ experience teaching photography and art lessons. Furthermore, she holds international masterclasses and workshops. Through teaching, she fulfills her desire to provide students with the resources and opportunities to learn fundamentals. She believes that offering emerging artists such prospects aid in their formative development.
